Ghislaine Saikaley appointed again as Interim Commissioner of Official Languages

Gatineau, June 22, 2017 – The Governor in Council has appointed Ghislaine Saikaley as Interim Commissioner of Official Languages for another six months.
Mrs. Saikaley will therefore continue to head the organization until December 17, 2017, or until the government appoints a new Commissioner of Official Languages.
Mrs. Saikaley is an experienced federal government executive who was previously Assistant Commissioner of the Compliance Assurance Branch at the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages. Under the Official Languages Act, Mrs. Saikaley will continue to exercise all authority accorded to her position and ensure normal operations of the Office of the Commissioner.
